A few weeks ago on my Facebook page I asked if you guys wanted my next recipe post to be a casserole or a crockpot recipe. You chose a crockpot recipe and so I searched for a super easy one that is also delicious. I tried a broccoli cheddar soup that wasn’t too good and since I’m clearly obsessed with broccoli I found this beef and broccoli one! Both of my children, my husband, and our friend LOVED this recipe. It was so good there wasn’t any leftovers! The best part about this recipe is that it is super, super easy!

Ingredients For Broccoli and Beef

– 2 lbs of sirloin steak, sliced thin
– 1 cup of beef broth
– 1/2 cup of LOW sodium soy sauce
– 1/4 cup of brown sugar
– 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
– 4 garlic cloves, minced
– 4 tablespoons of corn starch
– 1 bag of fresh-cut broccoli
– 4 tablespoons of water
– white rice, cooked, for a side

Directions

beef broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and brown sugar
  1. In the crockpot whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and brown sugar.
  2. Put slices of steak in the crockpot and toss to coat steak in the liquid.
  3. Cover lid and cook on low heat for 4 hours.
  4. After 4 hours, whisk together cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Pour into crockpot, add the broccoli and combine all the ingredients.
  5. Cover with lid and cook for 30 minutes to cook broccoli and sauce thickens.
  6. Serve on warm white rice and enjoy!
This is what is looked like after I put the broccoli in

I LOVE using slow cooker liners because the cleanup time is significantly less than when I don’t use a liner. If beef isn’t for you or you would rather have a casserole please check out my easy chicken broccoli and rice casserole https://tomorrowisamotherday.com/easy-chicken-broccoli-and-rice/. Also, I promise the next recipe won’t have broccoli!
