It’s that time of year again when you might be scrambling to get all your favorite people the perfect gift! If you are lucky, you might have some book lovers in your family and friends for whom you need a gift idea. Well, I am a very BIG book lover and I’m here to tell you all the awesome gifts you can give your family member or friend they want or will use.
Instead of listing all the amazing gifts you can give your book-loving person, I broke the gifts into categories for each book-lover. The person you are shopping for might be a nighttime reader, a cozy reader, an audiobook reader, or one of the other types I’ve listed below. Lastly, I made a category for gifts that I think any avid book reader will love.

If you want to check out the gift ideas, I have added their links under each category AND you can click the gift idea itself in the paragraph. Thank you for any support you give my little blog. I appreciate everything!
Cozy Gifts for Book Lovers
There’s something about getting all cozy in your favorite reading spot, with a warm blanket, a hot mug filled with your favorite drink, and reading a great book. It’s one of my favorite things to do. Here are some perfect gift ideas for a cozy reader. You could get them a cozy blanket, a temperature-controlled mug, a book-themed coffee mug, or a book-scented candle. These are perfect for any cozy book lovers!
Night Time Book Readers
This goes out to all my night owl readers who fall asleep with a book on their lap or, in my case, a Kindle falling on my face when I pass out in bed. A nighttime reader would love a book light to attach to their book or bed. Another option is to get them a Kindle because there is a nighttime mode, making reading easier for their eyes at night.

Gifts For Organized Book Lovers
There’s a special sub-category of readers that I like to call “organized book loves” and they are the type of reader who loves to annotate, rate each book, keep a book journal, and keep their reading very organized. I would love to be a part of the group but I’m only a book journal organized. An organized book lover would like a book cart to keep their TBR (to be read) books organized, a book journal to keep all their yearly reading organized, and sticky notes so they can annotate while they read.

Audiobook Readers
Audiobook readers are very easy to shop for during Christmas. You could go the expensive route and get them some new AirPods. The other option is to get them a gift membership to audible or whatever way they listen to audiobooks. You could also get them a puzzle to do while they are listening to their books. I wish I had more ideas for an audio reader but I think these three are great options.
Gifts for the Reading Accessory Lover
These gift ideas are for the book lovers whom you know love any kind of book-related gift, whether it’s big or small. You could get them some cute bookmarks that involve a funny book saying or is about their favorite book. You could get them a book-themed tote that they could keep all their books inside. A book-related calendar would be an awesome option for any book lover! Lastly, you could also get them some stickers about reading or their favorite books. There are so many options to choose from if you want to get an accessory gift for the book-loving person in your life.
Easy and Quick Gifts Book Lovers Want
I would honestly say that most book lovers have an Amazon wishlist with books on it. You can ask your person if they have one and order some books there. Also, you can give them gift cards to Amazon, Bookshop, or my favorite book subscription box, Authentic Books. You could also get them a Blind Date with a book on Etsy. Below, I have added my favorite kind which is a Taylor Swift-themed blind date.
- Gift card to Amazon
- Gift card to Bookshop
- Authentic Books membership
- Blind Date with a book
- Blind date with a book (Taylor’s Version)

I love these ideas! As an avid book reader I want lots of these myself, and, like you, the book journal is probably my favorite idea. 🙂
Thanks for the list. I am looking to find new books as gifts for Christmas this year.
I love these ideas. Thank you for the suggestions. I plan to purchase the book light, because I love to read in the bed.
I hope you enjoy the book light! I love to read in bed too.
I’m not a bookworm, I’m a bookdragon! I’d accept a few (or all) items from this list 😀
Yes! I love that so much. I’m definitely going to start calling myself a bookdragon
Yes to all of these! As an avid reader, I would love to receive any of these gifts – we’ll ignore that some of these I already own, haha. but hey, having backups on things like reading lamps is a good idea, you never know when the one you have can stop working.
