Joy To Noel by Tracy Baack is a holiday romance book about a straight-laced man and a sassy woman who are drawn to each other.
We are almost in the holiday season, and there’s nothing I love more than reading a good holiday romance novel. Joy To Noel is one of the best holiday romance books I’ve read, and it’s not entirely set during Christmas time. The two main characters are drawn to each other like magnets, and their banter is fantastic. They push and pull each other in the best ways. They are both honest to a fault while also motivating each other to be the best they can be.
If you are going to read one book this holiday season, make it Joy to Noel by Tracy Baack. It’s a closed-door romance with forced proximity.

Synopsis from Amazon
Madison Wheeler is the definition of a responsible adult, living and working in Kansas City—right up until her life implodes. Convinced by her best friend Clara, she retreats to the small town of Noel for a reset. If Clara’s Christmas spirit managed to save the town last year, maybe that same magic could rescue Madison’s unraveling future.
Liam Park is sent to Noel for a short-term work assignment, and he is not happy about the destination. When he crosses paths with Madison, he’s intrigued by the sassy woman who doesn’t back down from a good verbal sparring. But Liam refuses to truly open up to a temporary acquaintance. He refuses to open up to anyone.
Despite their attempts to maintain distance, the fiery tension between them only grows. Will they ultimately push each other away or embrace the pull they can’t deny?

My Review of Joy To Noel
Thank you to Tracy Baack for an advanced reading copy of Joy to Noel. It was just what I needed to get into the holiday spirit! This book will have you smiling so much your cheeks will hurt. This is one of my favorite books I’ve read by Tracy Baack.
This is the first book in the series I read and you can read it as a stand-alone.
From the moment Liam and Madison meet, I was hooked! I loved the banter and the way they were drawn to each other. You can feel the sexual tension from the first time they talk to each other. They challenge each other and bring out the best in each other.
I loved how uptight and stiff Liam seemed until he let loose with Madison. It was great reading about how he let his walls come down and let people in. You can tell he was searching for a place to fit in, and he found it in Noel.
Madison was all sass, and I loved it. She said exactly what she was thinking, and I totally relate to that. Being that way, you sometimes think you might be too much for people, like Madison thinks she is. I loved reading her POV because you can tell she’s a hard critic, but she’s her biggest critic too.
Some tropes of this book are: closed-door romance, found family, forced proximity, dual POVs, holiday vibes, and small-town romance.
This book is perfect for when you want to curl up on the couch in the living room, with your Christmas tree up, sipping on hot chocolate, and read a great Holiday romance book. If you read one book this season, make sure it’s Joy to Noel!
