JT is 10 Years Old and I’m Officially Old!

Sharing is caring!

My oldest child, JT, is officially 10 years old, and I’m sharing all my favorite things about him and how we celebrated his birthday.

My eldest son is officially 10 years old, and I’m feeling really old. For some reason, his turning double digits feels bigger than every other age so far. I can’t believe how big he is getting. There are many things I love about this big boy who still lets me hug him in public. We had a blast celebrating his birthday, and I can’t wait to share it with you. I hope you all enjoy reading about JT as much as we love having him in our lives.

How We Celebrated JT Turning 10 Years Old

This past weekend was filled with celebrating JT’s 10th birthday. First, we travelled to Champaign and got some delicious pizza. Then we went to a University of Illinois basketball game, and they won! That night we stayed at a hotel, and when we woke up in the morning, we let JT, his friend, and Ted go swimming in the pool. Then we went to the football game and watched the Illini beat Maryland. JT loved every second of it! He said it was the best birthday he’s ever had.

JT’s Favorite Things

If you know JT, you know he lives and breathes sports. It doesn’t matter what sport it is, he loves it. He’ll play it or watch it. It doesn’t matter to him. He just loves it. Also, he’s a natural at every sport. It’s really great watching him fall in love with all the sports. His favorite color is red (right now). Lastly, he really loves NBA Ballers. They are his favorite gift to receive.

Some of his favorite meals from my blog are: Easy Biscuits and Gravy, Broccoli Chicken Pasta Bake: An Easy Delicious Italian Recipe, Easy Chicken Broccoli and Rice, and Loaded Baked Potato Soup: A Delicious and Easy Crockpot Recipe.

My Favorite Things About JT

Do I have enough time to list all the little and big things I love about JT? Probably not, so I’m only going to list a few things I really love about my favorite 10-year-old. JT is a HUGE fan of sports, and he loves getting other people into sports. It’s so cool watching him learn all the skills for every sport. If he puts his mind to something, he’s going to give it his heart and soul.

One of the things I love most about JT is how patient and kind he is to his younger siblings. He has his moments, but he really is the best big brother. He loves playing with them, and they love playing sports with him. My favorite moments with JT are watching football on Sunday together or relaxing on the couch watching a movie. He may be getting bigger by the second, but he still lets me hug him. I know that won’t last much longer. He’ll be way too cool for me soon.
