My Baby Cooper Turned 2!

I can’t believe I’m about to say this BUT my little Cooper man turned 2 this past weekend! My baby who I swear was just born yesterday is a big 2-year-old boy. In honor of him turning two, I thought I would write a blog post all about his party, my favorite things about him, and what his favorite things are. A Birthday Party for Cooper

We had family and friends over for a Taco Twos-day-themed party since Cooper was born on Cinco De Mayo. We had a big taco bar and a beautiful cake from Hy-Vee. They decorated the cake with two tacos and the kids loved it! It was so cute and delicious. Also, Cooper loved blowing his candles out and everyone singing “Happy Birthday” to him.

One of the joys of motherhood is watching your children grow. It’s a privilege I don’t take lightly. Every year I make sure we celebrate each birthday on the day and a party. Call me old fashioned but children deserve parties for their birthday. They deserve a parent who creates a party and throws it for them. It doesn’t have to be the biggest party ever! Ours for Cooper was very simple but the kids had a blast. That’s all that matters. That Cooper knows how much we love him and love celebrating him.

My Favorite Things about Cooper

I can honestly say that Cooper is the happiest child I have ever met. It’s rare for him to be upset or crying. He just has such a sunny deposition and a happy demeanor. I hope that never changes!

Another I love about Cooper is that when he says “Thank you” it’s the cutest thing. He says “Thank you Mama!” and usually gives me a big hug or kiss. I just love how sweet he is.

Lastly, I love how sociable he is with other children. He has three older siblings so he has no issues hanging around other kids. He’s also talking much better than my other boys were at this age. I hope he continues to be a little social butterfly as he grows up.

Cooper’s Favorites

Cooper is a HUGE fan of many things. He loves The Lion King, Cars, and watching Bluey. He also loves playing with cars and toy animals. His favorite food is blueberries, waffles, and french fries. His favorite recipe on the blog is my Chicken and Rice Casserole: An Easy and Delicious Family Dinner. I recently made it for the family and he had two servings. He just loves it so much! If you ask him what his favorite color is he might say “uhhhh yellow!” but I’m not sure if that’s true. He just likes to say it. He’s such a goofy little man.

Final Thoughts

While I was writing this post I couldn’t help but smile. That’s how Cooper makes me feel, completely happy. Even when he’s cranky or throwing a tantrum I still think the world of him. He may have been a surprise but he’s one of the best things in my life. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings us and I love seeing his personality develop.
