The Seven O’clock Club is an interesting book about four strangers thrown into a therapy group for grieving people. But there’s a twist!
The Seven O’clock Club is a beautiful and interesting story about grief and how people handle grief differently. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and learned a thing or two about bereavement. This story is such a unique story that I know most people will enjoy. If you have a chance to check out this debut novel by Amelia Ireland, you should!

Synopsis From Amazon
Freya, Callum, Mischa, and Victoria have nothing in common–well, except for one thing: they’ve each experienced a deep personal loss that has led them to an unconventional group meeting, every Tuesday night at seven. A meeting they’ve been particularly selected for that will help them finally move on. At least, that’s the claim.
As they warily eye one another and their unnervingly observant group leader, one question hangs over them: why were they chosen? To get the answer, they are going to have to share a whole lot of themselves first. Getting Freya, Callum, Mischa, and Victoria to trust each other is vital–because the real reason they’re connected will shift the ground beneath their feet.
Riveting and wise, The Seven O’Clock Club shows us the courage needed to face your past and the joy that can be found in stepping into your future.

My Review of The Seven O’clock Club
Thank you to NetGalley, Amelia Ireland, and Berkley for this advanced reading copy of The Seven O’clock Club in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed reading this book.
The Seven O’clock Club is an intriguing story about four strangers in a therapy group for grieving people. Each one of them has different reasons for being there and comes from a different background, but they all have one thing in common. Finding out what that one thing was blew my mind!
This book is told from the viewpoints of the four strangers and the therapist running the group. It was interesting to read the logic of each person and why they were grieving. Also, it was interesting to see the characters develop friendships outside of the therapy sessions.
I loved how unique this story is, and the ending is very clever. I wish I could go back and read it again for the first time. Lastly, I loved the take on the stages of grief and how there are more than just the usual stages.
If you are interested in books with a bog plot twist, multiple POVs, and learning about grief, I think you will enjoy this book.

Who Would I Recommend This Book To
The Seven O’clock Club is a great book for anyone who likes books with BIG plot twists about 3/4 of the way through. I knew there was a twist, but I had no idea what it was going to be. I was completely blown away!
If you enjoy books with multiple points of view and lots of characters, then you should enjoy this book. If you get confused with too many characters, then I would stay away from this book.
Lastly, if forced proximity is a trope you really enjoy, then you’ll like this group. Most of the characters in this book don’t want to be in therapy but have been told they need to go. I hope you love this book if you check it out
