Hello Fall! I’m a sucker for the fall season. It’s my favorite because my birthday is in the fall (November), my favorite holiday is during fall (Thanksgiving), and it has the best sport (Football). Also, I love doing this easy fall craft with my kids.

Since the older two kids are at school, I’ve had more time to spend with my younger two. We are in a pretty good routine, and we set aside some time for crafts and learning. During that time, we do simple crafts that don’t take a lot of set up and the kids enjoy them. Vivian enjoys creating the trees with her “special leaves” as she calls them.
I hope you and your family enjoy this fall craft as much as my kids have.
What You Will Need
- White construction paper
- Brown construction paper
- Scissors
- Children’s Smock
- Red, orange, and yellow paint (preferably kid-friendly)
- Paint Tray
- About 3 wine corks

How To Create the Fall Craft
- Take the brown construction paper and draw a tree without any leaves on it. Draw just the trunk and some branches.
- Cut the bare tree and glue it onto the white construction paper. Depending on your child’s skill, you can let them do this part.
- Squirt some red. orange, and yellow paint on a paper plate or in a plastic paint tray. Put wine corks in the paints and show your toddler how to make the paint look like leaves on a tree.
- Let the toddler put as much or as little leaves as they want. Encourage them by saying positive phrases.
- Let dry, sign it, and you can keep it or give it to someone special.
- You can keep making trees as long as your child wants.

Final Thoughts
Sometimes we just need a simple and fun fall craft to entertain our children. While doing this craft with my younger two children, I remembered doing it with my older two just a few years ago. Time seems to move quickly, but I enjoy these little moments with my children. I love seeing which colors they prefer or choose to use. While doing this craft I talk about why the leaves change to give them a science lesson too.
I hope you take a moment and do this craft and I hope you enjoy it! Let me know in the comments below what you and your children thought of this craft!
