Sharing is caring!

The Cozy Nook Bookshop by Jeannie Chin is a cozy fall romance book about a bookshop owner and a grumpy forest ranger meeting in a small town.

If you are looking for a fun and cozy romance book with all the fall vibes, you need to check out The Cozy Nook Bookshop by Jeannie Chin. I loved the grumpy x sunshine and the town lore of soulmates meeting on a corner in town. This book is a great way to start your fall reading. It’s funny, fun, and interesting. There’s a little bit of spice, but not too much.

Synopsis From Amazon

Emma Rogers-Li is having her worst chapter yet. She’s lost her friends, her apartment in Manhattan, and a jerk of an ex. When a job opens to run a bookshop in the quirky small town of Heart’s Hope Crossing, Vermont, Emma jumps at the chance to start over. For the first time in years, she feels like she’s finally calling the shots in her own life … until she runs smack into Hunter Hall.

According to town legend, it’s fate—couples who meet (or collide) at that corner are meant to be. And while Emma doesn’t believe the town gossips now convinced she and Hunter are meant for each other, something about the tall, gruff forest ranger sends her completely off-balance. Falling in love with Heart’s Hope Crossing might be the best thing to happen to Emma.

But Hunter has a complicated past of his own when it comes to love. Can they both take one last chance on a perfect happily-ever-after?

My Review of The Cozy Nook Bookshop

First, thank you to NetGalley, Jeannie Chin, and Hachette Audio for an advanced listening copy of The Cozy Nook Bookshop. I enjoyed listening to Emma and Hunter’s love story.

Fall is one of my favoirte time of the year. I love all the fall vibes including a good fall romance. I was super excited to recieve this listening copy of The Cozy Nook Bookshop because I enjoy the Dream Harbor books. This book did not disappoint. It’s perfect for the fall season.

One thing about this book is that it starts slow and makes you wonder where it’s going. Once you get into the town and get to know some of the townsfolk, it all comes together. This book was interesting, funny, and cozy. A perfect recipe for a fall romance book.

I relate to Emma as an indoor cat who prefers curling up on the couch to read a book. I loved that Hunter was a forest ranger who took Emma out on the trails, and that’s how they become friends first. One thing I didn’t understand was Hunter’s reasoning for hating the town’s lore. It just didn’t seem to make sense to me, but there needed to be a reason.

This book is perfect for fans of small-town romance books, some spice, grumpy/sunshine trope, fall vibes books, dual POV, and meddlesome townsfolk.
