Arrivals and Departures features one family and how they react when one of them goes missing. They are all facing personal struggles but drop everything to help. But even their best efforts can sometimes come with enepected consequences.

My Review of Arrivals and Departures
First off, thank you to Amanda Eyre Ward, Ballantine Books, and NetGalley for an advanced reading copy of Arrivals and Departures. It was a moving and heartwarming story.
Each sibling in the Perkins family is struggling. Reagan has disappeared, Cord is struggling with his relationship, and Lee is going through a mental health crisis. But when Reagan’s daughter starts freaking out, Lee drops everything to fly to Italy and figure out what’s going on.
The whole book is centered on personal growth. The characters each have their challenges and try to overcome them. There’s hostility from past traumas, and they all carry baggage from those experiences. It’s interesting to see this sort of dynamic.
Lee was probably my favorite character. She was struggling but trying her best. It just seemed like no one really gave her a chance or tried to see how hard she was trying to help.
This book is perfect for anyone who loves multiple POVs, complicated family dynamics, books with sisters, and books set in a beautiful setting.
