Does anyone else feel like this year is just flying by? I cannot believe it is already May! April 2024 was a great month for me. I accomplished most my goals for the month and got a little closer to accomplishing my goals for the year. One reason why I keep recapping my months is because it has helped me stay on track and it’s held me accountable. I hope you enjoy this April 2024 recap of my goals.

April 2024 Books
I planned on taking it easy this month when it came to reading but I couldn’t stop reading! My reading goal for April 2024 was to read 8 books and I read 10. Also, for the first time in a very long time I DNF (Did Not Finish) a book that I was not enjoying at all. I don’t usually do this because I want to see if a book will get better as it goes on. But this one was really hard to read and I just felt better once I DNF’d it and let it be.

April 2024 Blog Posts
April was a great month for me, blog-wise! I published a blog post every week and I feel really motivated to continue. I’m very proud of myself because it has been a while since I published every week during a month. I tend to take a week off. Even when I wasn’t feeling good, I pushed through and published a blog post. Here’s the list of my April 2024 blog posts:
- March 2024 Recap: Slowly Accomplishing Goals
- Amazing Newborn Essentials from a Mother of Four (Pt. 1)
- Easy Meal Prep Chicken Burrito Bowl Recipe
- Mother of Four Advice: Essentials for Newborns Part 2

May Goals
My goals for May are going to be pretty simple because this month is going to be bust with a capital “B”. A few overall goals for May are to celebrate Cooper’s birthday, enjoy the last month of school, prepare my summer schedule for the kids, and continue with my 75 soft challenge.
My reading goals for May are to read 5 physical books (not audio or E-book). I’m trying to get my physical TBR (to be read) pile down this month. My other reading goal is to finish at least 10 books this month.
My blog goal is to publish a blog post every Wednesday in May. Another goal is to be better at responding to comments. I really kind of suck at responding. This is something that I also suck at in real life. If you have ever texted me then you probably already know that. I also want to be more present on social media.
Final Thoughts
Now that I have some of my May goals written out I feel better about this next month. I’m proud of all the work I did this April 2024 and I know I’m just planting the seeds to accomplish my yearly goals.
Now it’s your turn. What are some of your April goals that you crushed? What are your May goals? Have you read any good books that you want to recommend to me?
I love hearing from all of you and I thank you for all the support!
Thanks for reading,
Kel
Love this! I’m a mother of 3 and love reading but am nowhere near 10 books a month.
And well done with the blogging goals too.
