I decided to write this post about my favorites a while ago but then quarantine happened and I had to add some stuff to this list that has helped me through this time. Quarantine has been exhausting for me (as I’m sure it has been for all of you) because I’m already over-stressed and overly emotional thanks to me being pregnant. That’s why some of this stuff on my list are self-care items and entertainment to get you through the rough days. If some of the things on my list help you through your rough days/times then that’s awesome! Note: these favorites are in no particular order.
Sibling Revelry Podcast
I’m a HUGE fan of Oliver and Kate Hudson! Even though they came from a famous family, they still seem to have their heads on straight. You can tell that even though they are siblings they have some different views on life. I started listening to Sibling Revelry while driving JT to school and I can’t stop listening! I love the guests they have on because it’s usually famous siblings or someone very interesting. One of the things I really enjoy is how you can tell that Kate has done her research on each guest while Oliver likes to fly by the seat of his pants and see where the conversation takes them. The way they play off each other makes you want make podcast with your own siblings!

Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Detangler and Air Dry
This is what I use right after I take a shower. My hair gets tangled and usually takes a while to comb through but this spray works like a charm! one of the things I really like about this product is that it is made for women who air dry their hair. This is the PERFECT hair product for me because I usually take my showers during nap time and can’t have the blow dryer going unless I want the boys to wake up. If you want something that is quick and easy for air drying hair you have to check this out!
Eucerin Redness Relief Cream
My name is Kelly and I have a red nose. It doesn’t matter if its summer or winter my nose is always red. It’s something I’ve had an issue with for years and so I decided to look into ways of making my nose less red. After a ton of research online I decided to try Eucerin Redness Relief Cream. It is a nighttime cream that I use mostly on my nose but I put it on my whole face. If I use it consistently I really see a difference in my nose color. Instead of being bright red, it fades to more of a pink color. This boosts my confidence and makes me want to take more selfies! So if you have a red nose or just red spots on your face, you should really check out this product!

Candles
If you know me at all you know I’m a sucker for candles! I’m the type of person who collects candles like some people collect coffee mugs. I love all the different scents and I love most candles. But my favorites are a brand at Target called Opalhouse. They last a long time and they smell fantastic! I also love Nature’s Wick candles. The reason why I love those are because the sound of the wick crackling makes me wish I had a fireplace!
Aloe Infused Fuzzy Socks
Let me start this section off with saying that I am NOT a sock person! The first things to come off when I get home are my shoes, my rings, my socks and then usually my bra! “But what do you do when your feet get cold?!” That’s a great question but usually my feet don’t get cold and they usually sweat while I’m wearing socks. I know, its gross! But this past spring and this pregnancy has made my feet usually cold. So now I’m in love with aloe infused fuzzy socks! I can’t stop wearing them! Well, now that the weather is getting hotter they might come off but they haven’ yet.
Grey’s Anatomy and The West Wing (or Netflix in General)
I’m the type of person who likes to watch shows on Netflix that has a lot of seasons! I need more than one season to make me interested because I blow through a season in a week. Normally, I like to watch a show once then wrap it up in a box and put it away. But I decided to watch Grey’s Anatomy again on Netflix and I remembered why it is one of my favorites. If you haven’t seen this show please do yourself a favor and watch a few.
Then after I watched up to season 14 of Grey’s I decided to watch The West Wing again. Guys, I’m not kidding when I say that cast is outstanding! Martin Sheen as President Bartlett, Stockard Channing (Rizzo in Grease) as his wife, Bradley Whitford as deputy chief of staff, Rob Lowe, Allison Janney, and I could go on! Please just watch the first episode and tell me you wouldn’t vote for Jed Bartlett even if you are a die-hard Republican! He does a fantastic job and I love the way that politics have changed since 2000 and how it has stayed the same! Those two shows are my Netflix favorites this season!
