What Makes This Routine Perfect?
Well, for starters, because I said so and it’s my blog. No, I’m just kidding! The things that make a morning routine perfect for starting your day off right are getting some movement in, day planning, finding a way to relax or be mindful, and staying hydrated.
Below is my productive morning routine. This routine works for me, and if you’d like to use it, you’re welcome to do so. I find that when I have a little bit of exercise, water, and a way to relax before my day starts, then I feel like my days are a million times more productive, and I feel happier.
I have added some ideas for you if you want to create your own productive morning routine. Also, I created a super cool printable for you to make your routine. You can create a schedule like I have or a checklist to get things done. Directions on how to download it are below.

My Perfect and Productive Morning Routine
5:30 am- Wake up, brush teeth, wash face, get dressed, make my bed, and go for a morning walk (usually about 15-20 minutes).
6:10 am- Write down my to-do list or journal for about 10 minutes.
6:20 am- Read my book for about 20 minutes and drink at least 16 ounces of water.
6:40 am- Wake up older boys for school, and my day officially starts.
This is how my weekday mornings go. I tend to eat breakfast and have coffee around 8 am. I’m trying to fast from 8 pm to 8 am every weekday. Sometimes I will have some tea while reading, but that’s only when it’s a chilly morning.

More Ideas For Your Productive Morning Routine
For the movement part of your routine, you could: walk on the treadmill, do some stretching, yoga, or a quick workout.
For the day planning part, you could: visualize how your day is going to go, write down your to-do list, or do a brain dump of all the things you need to do.
Then for the relaxation or mindfulness part, you can: meditate, journal, write down what you are grateful for, do your morning skincare routine, or do some bible study work.
For the staying hydrated part, you could: drink some tea or drink some water. Sorry, there’s not much variety of choice with this one. You’ve got to get your water intake in.
