The Mystic and The Missing Girl is a cozy mystery novel about a reluctant psychic who tries to clear her aunt’s name and solve a cold case.
It’s been a minute since I finished a book in under 24 hours, but The Mystic and the Missing Girl was the perfect book for me. The humor, the heart, and all the cozy fall vibes. It’s an interesting premise with some pretty interesting characters. I feel like this book is perfect for spooky season when you want a mystery that’s not too spooky. My Review of The Mystic and The Missing Girl
First off, let me thank Vikki VanSickle, NetGalley, and Minotaur Books for an advanced reading copy of The Mystic and the Missing Girl. This book is probably one of my favorite books of the year.
It’s been a minute since I finished a book in less than a day, but this book was soooooo good I couldn’t put it down. I loved the autumn vibes of this book and the relationship between Drew and Nick. Their reunion and their friendship seemed very natural, and I enjoyed their banter. I really hope there’s another book in this series because I loved these characters.
One thing I really enjoyed about this book was the tarot cards and their descriptions. I know some stuff about tarot cards, but not enough. This book makes me want to learn more about them.
Also, I really liked Drew. She seemed like someone I would be friends with. I loved all her pop culture references, her relationship with her mom, and the “entanglement” she has with a local in town. Plus, her best friend and her co-worker were the humor and heart during some serious moments.
Overall, this book is perfect for anyone who loves a cozy mystery with psychic abilities in a small town. It’s also great for anyone who wants a quick read or a book without a focus on romance. Plus, it’s a perfect fall read!
