Cuisine American
- 2 cans Dr. Pepper
- 4 pounds beef ribs
- ¾ cup BBQ sauce
Place ribs in crockpot and pour the 1st can (12 oz.) of Dr. Pepper over the ribs.
Turn on slow cooker on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours. Flip them during cooking so that the ribs get fully coated. I cooked them for 7 hours and flipped them every 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cover cookie sheet with aluminum foil for easy clean up. Then place a cooling rack on the cookie sheet.
Combine the BBQ sauce with 1/2 cup (about 4 oz.) of the second Dr. Pepper can. Drink the rest if you want.
Remove the ribs from the crockpot and place them on the cooling rack. Then brush the BBQ/Dr. Pepper mix over the ribs. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip the ribs, brush on the mixture, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Take the ribs out of the oven and serve! Use the remaining sauce as a dipping sauce if you want.
