Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup

This homestyle chicken noodle soup recipe is full of flavor and filling. It's easy to make and perfect for sick days or cold winter days.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 carrots, peeled and cut into 1-inch slices
  • 4 celery cut into 1-inch slices
  • 3 cups egg noodles

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, add chicken broth, chicken bouillon cube, and water. Bring to a boil.
  • Add chicken breast, bay leaves, garlic powder, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper to the pot. Boil chicken for 20 minutes.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and cut it into pieces.
  • Add carrots to the pot, reduce to a simmer, and five minutes later, add the celery and the noodles. Cook for ten minutes, all while cutting chicken.
  • Then add the chicken back in and simmer on low for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the pot from the heat, wait for the soup to cool a little, serve, and enjoy!
