Guys, I’m going to make a little confession; I’ve never cooked ribs before. Usually Luke will throw them on the grill but It’s not something I’ve ever tried to make. I’m also not the biggest ribs fan… until NOW! This Dr. Pepper Ribs crockpot recipe will knock your socks off!
What made me want to cook ribs? Well, we recently purchased half of a cow and so we have a lot of meat that we need to cook. The other day I went through the deep freezer and wrote down all the meat we have left. We have quite a few packages of ribs left and I had no idea how I was going to cook them.
But I turned to my favorite website to look up recipes: Pinterest. I found this crockpot recipe for Dr. Pepper Beef Ribs in the crockpot and it seemed simple enough for me to try. We invited my Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law over for dinner to have some. We all agreed the ribs were delicious! I hope you check it out!

What You’ll Need
- 2 Cans of Dr. Pepper
- Around 4 Lbs of Beef Ribs (You can use pork if you want)
- 3/4 cup of BBQ Sauce
Here is the crockpot that I use and I LOVE it! It’s easy to travel with and it is programable to cook for a certain number of hours. Then it will switch the “Stay Warm” automatically: https://amzn.to/4cXDsZp
Directions
- Place ribs in crockpot and pour the 1st can (12 oz.) of Dr. Pepper over the ribs.
- Turn on slow cooker on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours. Flip them during cooking so that the ribs get fully coated. I cooked them for 7 hours and flipped them every 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cover cookie sheet with aluminum foil for easy clean up. Then place a cooling rack on the cookie sheet.
- Combine the BBQ sauce with 1/2 cup (about 4 oz.) of the second Dr. Pepper can. Drink the rest if you want.
- Remove the ribs from the crockpot and place them on the cooling rack. Then brush the BBQ/Dr. Pepper mix over the ribs. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip the ribs, brush on the mixture, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Take the ribs out of the oven and serve! Use the remaining sauce for dipping sauce if you want.

These ribs look delicious. I’ve never cooked ribs, either, but this recipe looks so easy! I’ll be trying it soon!
My socks are knocked off with this recipe. I know this tastes delicious and very tender. Several years ago I made Coca-cola chicken, and the meat was falling off the bone. Will definitely have to try this crockpot ribs recipe.
