Let me be the first to tell you how surprised I am that January 2024 was a month of me completing my monthly goals! The reasons I’m so surprised are that in January I go through a burnout phase thanks to the after holidays depression AND my whole house has been rotating being sick with ear infections, colds, and stomach bugs. Somehow, I still managed to get stuff done and complete my goals.

In this blog post I’m going to be talking about goals I accomplished, things I’m working on, my goals for February, and things I loved in January 2024.

Before you continue reading, if you haven’t read my blog post about 2024 goals then please check it out. In the blog post, I encourage you to make your 2024 goals and I share my goals for the year! 2024 Goals Worksheet with Monthly Goals Planner (+FREE Printable)

January 2024: Books I Read

This month I read a total of 11 books. My goal for 2024 is to read 125 books and that equals about 10 a month. I was really happy to accomplish this goal because I was going through a reading slump at the end of 2023. So, starting this year off strong with more books is pretty great in my opinion!

Here are the books I read and what rating I gave them:

Here’s an Instagram post from my Bookstagram breaking down my top book of the January 2024:

January 2024: Blog Posts I Published

This month I published 3 blog posts. My goal of 2024 is to publish 27 blog posts. I’m very proud of myself for accomplishing this goal. I struggle with what to write for this blog and this year I’m really focusing on improving my blog and writing high quality posts.

In January 2024 I published My Amazing 5-Star Reads from 2023. In this post I talked about all the books I loved in 2023 and how I wild recommend all of them to anyone.

The next blog post I published was Chicken and Rice Casserole: An Easy and Delicious Family Dinner. I love this recipe so much! We had it for dinner the other night and everyone DEVOURED it. I love how simple this recipe is and how much everyone enjoys it.

Lastly, I published a Simple Valentine’s Day Craft for Toddlers. This craft is so easy that you’ll want to make multiple copies with your toddler. You can make them for a parent, teacher, grandparents, or anyone close to your child. I hope you and your child love this craft!

What I Loved in January

There are so many things I loved during the month of January. I loved my weekly planner where I keep track of all the things I need to do in a day.

I also loved reading blog posts from https://ktlikescoffee.com. She writes about coffee and her lifestyle. My favorite post is about her journal prompts for January. They were so inspirational for my morning journaling.

Another thing I loved this January were these Liquid I.V. Hydration packets. I love all the different flavors! I usually have one a day with a big water bottle. Another drink I’m currently OBSESSED with is this delicious Victor Allen’s cappuccino K cups. I love making these as a little reward for myself when I get most of my things on my to-do list done.

Lastly, I loved making this puzzle with my husband. Putting together a puzzle is a great way to reduce your stress levels. This puzzle is 1000 pieces about families in television.

My February Goals

Some of my February goals are to publish 3 blog posts (this is number one!), to read 11 books this month, to read Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah as recommended by my friend Kristin, read my book club books, to engage more on Instagram, to respond to comments on the blog in a timely manner, and to schedule an appointment with a new doctor.

This may sound like a lot but I’m really hopeful that I can stay as motivated as I was in January.

Final Thoughts

Well, that’s a wrap on my January 2024 recap. I feel like 2024 might be a great year for me. I’m proud of all the hard work I’ve done last month to ensure I accomplish all my goals for the year. Now, I want to know how your January went. Let me know all the monthly goals you reached and how you’re feeling about 2024. Tell me in the comments below, I love hearing from all of you!

Lastly, if you are feeling down because your January 2024 didn’t start off strong, just know that that’s totally ok! You can start in February or change your goals to something easier. Life is hard enough without the added pressures you can put on yourself. Take a break, regroup, and focus on what’s important to you. You’re doing great and I’m proud of you. Remember, little by little is better than nothing at all.

Thanks for Reading
