Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and while I’m not a BIG fan of the holiday, I do think it’s a great way to show the people in our lives that we think of them and we love them. One thing I love about Valentine’s Day is that you can choose if you want to “go big” or “keep it simple silly”. My husband and I tend to do simple things. If you are looking for a simple and easy craft to do with your toddler for Valentine’s Day, check out this craft. I loved making this craft with my toddlers and even my older children joined in!

What You’ll Need For The Valentine’s Day Craft
- Construction paper (white, purple, red, or pink)
- Heart stickers
- Glue
- Marker
- Scissors
How To Make The Craft
- Let your toddler choose which color they want to use for their hand. Some Valentine’s Day color choices could be purple, pink, or red.
- Next, trace your toddler’s hand and cut it out. You can let your toddler cut their outline if they are able. My children (1 and 3) were not able so I cut it myself.
- Glue the hand on a white piece of paper. Write “a handful of love” wherever you choose on the page with a marker. You could also add “Happy Valentine’s Day” if you want to.
- Let your toddler choose the heart stickers they want. Let them put the stickers on their hand outline.
- Make as many as you want for any important person in your toddler’s life. Make sure to sign your child’s name and age for a keepsake.

Final Thoughts
One thing I liked about doing this craft with my younger children is we could make multiple copies of this craft and they really enjoyed it. My older children also made their own version of this craft and are so excited to give it to people. Some people you could make this craft for are your significant other, your parents, a caregiver, an aunt or uncle, or anyone in your child’s life. I hope you enjoy this craft with your toddler and I hope you have a great Valentine’s Day however you choose to celebrate.
