Can you name something better than a warm and delicious bowl of soup on a cold winter night? I can’t! This is the best homestyle chicken noodle soup recipe that is hearty and delicious. I love making this recipe when I need something to warm up my soul and know that my family will enjoy it. What they say is true, chicken noodle soup is good for the soul. I hope you enjoy this easy recipe.
NOTE: This recipe makes A LOT of soup! This makes about 12 bowls of soup. You are welcome to cut this recipe in half to make 6 servings.

Ingredients For Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup
- 3 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 10 cups of water
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of oregano
- 1 tablespoon of parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 carrots, peeled and cut in 1 inch slices
- 4 celery ribs, cut into 1 inch slices
- 3 cups of egg noodles (or pasta of your choice)

Directions for Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup
- In a large pot, add chicken broth, chicken bouillon cube, and water. Bring to a boil.
- Add chicken breast, bay leaves, garlic powder, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper to the pot. Boil chicken for 20 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and cut it into pieces.
- Add carrots to the pot, reduce to a simmer, and five minutes later, add the celery and the noodles. Cook for ten minutes, all while cutting chicken.
- Then add the chicken back in and simmer on low for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the pot from the heat, wait for the soup to cool a little, serve, and enjoy!
