What’s one recipe that screams “Summertime”? For me, it’s slow cooker pulled pork. Anytime I think of pulled pork I think of sitting outside and eating a pulled pork sandwich while drinking some iced tea. It just gives off summer vibes. After a few months of trying to find a great recipe for pulled pork, I FINALLY hit the jackpot.

I tried this recipe on my whole family, including my parents, and everyone liked it! The kids have asked me to make it again, which is a sign that a recipe is good. I love how easy this recipe is to make. It’s perfect for those busy weekdays when you want to just dump a recipe in the slow cooker and have it ready for dinner.

Pulled Pork

Ingredients For Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

  • 6-7 pounds of boneless pork shoulder
  • 1/2 large onion chopped
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper

Directions to make Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

  1. Place the pork shoulder into slow cooker.
  2. Add the other ingredients to the slow cooker covering the pork shoulder.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
  4. When ready, shred the pork and cover for another 15 minutes.
  5. Serve onto rolls for pulled pork sandwiches or eat by itself. Enjoy!

  1. Pulled pork – may not be the most photogenic of dishes – you need to smell it! I’m daydreaming about the smell!
    Slow cooking as far as I am concerned is the way to go!
