The Two Prophets by Jeff Fulmer is an action-packed book about two men who have visions from God about America’s future.
The premise of The Two Prophets is intriguing to me. Two men receive visions from God about the future and have two different tactics of how to tell the world. Peter likes to think things through and tell the visions in a well-thought-out way without provoking others. Jesse is an older prophet who loves to tell his visions and provoke rage from others. They are both trying to prevent their visions from happening and protect themselves from people who don’t like their visions. Can they survive and warn America of the future they see?

Synopsis from Amazon
The last thing Peter wants is another prophetic dream, especially about President Lawler’s re-election. As more dreams of future events keep coming true, the reluctant prophet finds himself thrust back into the spotlight. This time, he is backed up by his friend and mentor, Jesse, who proclaims his own controversial prophecies.
President Lawler, and his legions of supporters, attempt to stamp out any dissent and silence the prophets. And, once again, Peter must go on the run. Aided by old friends and new allies, Peter and Jesse continue to call out hypocrisy and abuses of power. Lines are drawn and sides must be chosen in a battle for the soul of the country.

My Review of The Two Prophets
First, thank you to Jeff Fulmer and NetGalley for an advanced reading copy of The Two Prophets. It’s such an interesting story that I really enjoyed reading.
Imagine you are someone who receives visions from God when you dream. You saw a pandemic coming and warned the world, then you saw a vision of an insurrection. The first vision came true but the second didn’t. Now people think you are the boy who cried wolf and refuse to listen when you say your next vision.
The Two Prophets follow Peter as he tries to navigate a world where he has the ability to warn the world but the world doesn’t want to hear him. I loved how Fulmer showcases just how toxic social media can be. Peter eventually has to go into hiding to protect himself.
Reading this book, I found myself comparing certain characters in the book to people in real life. This book felt like a high-pressure and tense book. I didn’t know where it was going and I loved the ride. I will be reading more from Jeff Fulmer.
This book is for anyone who wants to read a political book that makes you question the moral dilemma of the current climate. This is a quick read and one that you will finish in about a day. It’s a high-paced and action-packed book.

Final Thoughts
This was such an interesting book and not one I would have found without NetGalley. I will be reading more from Jeff Fulmer. I loved his writing style and the pace of this book. It felt like a James Patterson mystery with how fast-paced the last half of The Two Prophets was. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments below. I love hearing from all of you.
Lastly, if you enjoyed this book, don’t forget to share on social media.
Thanks for reading,
Kel
