This book is perfect if you want a cozy book with witchy vibes. Hexes Go Well with Tequila features a single woman who moves to Salem to live in a house. Little does she know the house is filled with Witchy vibes. She ends up getting to know some women in town and makes a little coven. When a tequila-fueled night goes wrong, they wonder if there’s more to the house than it seems. Ursula tries to keep the peace in the town, gets to know a grumpy “cursed” neighbor, and finds female friendship. This is book one in a series, and it’s definitely worth a listen.

Synopsis from Amazon
From the moment Ursula Cambridge, a 38-year-old woman from the Midwest, realizes she’s become invisible in her life and relationship, she and her Irish Wolfhound, Casper get a magical invitation to live in The Lost Souls House in Salem, Massachusetts.
There, she finds herself immersed in a magical town, living in a house with a graveyard that hosts the lost souls, one of Salem’s mysteries that keeps the town and tourists guessing, and some would do anything to keep their dark origin a mystery.
As she struggles to find her footing in this town, four women come around her, showing her the importance of community, friendship, and magical camaraderie when they wake up with more than margarita hangovers and find that their playful graveyard hexes worked.
When Ursula bumps into the town bachelor who is rumored to be cursed, she tries to steer clear of his unreasonably grumpy disposition but finds herself drawn to his surly, yet vulnerable, teenage niece Bess, who forms an attachment to Ursula.
Thrown into the middle of a modern-day witch hunt, Ursula has to navigate a mysterious world of magic and mystery, political warfare, and passionate tension with the man who has sworn off women, who bears a striking resemblance to the paper towel Brawny Man. Hexes Go Well With Tequila will bring you on a whimsical journey of found family, and found self, uncovering a centuries-old mystery of ten lost souls and fighting for invisible women.

My Review of Hexes Go Well with Tequila
First off, thank you to LeAnna Ehrsam, NetGalley, and Hay House LLC for an advance listening copy of Hexes Go Well with Tequila. This book was the perfect mixture of female friendship, witchy vibes, and romance. I loved listening to this book. I can’t wait to read more books from this series.
The narrator does a great job narrating this book! She did all the voices for all the characters, and she did a good job with the male voices.
Hexes Go Well with Tequila is about Ursula, who gets a weird invitation to move into a house in Salem, and she jumps at the chance. One thing I really liked about this book was that Ursula was an older woman looking to start a new life and she had relatable flaws. Also, I love how the focus of this book is the friendship she makes and the connections she builds with the people in this town. It gives off small-town and found-family vibes.
Another thing I really appreciate about an audiobook is that I can listen to it in the car with my children. This book definitely falls into that category. It does have some town drama and a little spice but it’s something you can listen to with children in the car.
This book is a fun and whimsical book to listen to when you want witchy vibes but not spooky vibes. Plus, this is perfect for October. It’s great to read when you want a cozy book. It’s full of female friendships and is an easy read/listen.
