The reason why I chose this as my next recipe post is because my followers on Instagram chose this over my Chicken Parmesan recipe. If you want a say in what my next posts are, follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tomorrowisamotherdayblog/

Ingredients Together

Ingredients for Italian Meatballs Recipe

  • 1 Pound of ground beef
  • 1/4 cup of minced onion
  • 2/3 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of Ritz crackers (crumbled)
  • 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
Meatballs before they are cooked

Directions

  1. Set oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients besides the brown sugar and ketchup.
  3. Mix ingredients using your hands (PRO-TIP: Put olive oil on your hands to prevent the mixture from sticking to your hands).
  4. Line baking sheet with tin foil for easier clean up. Make Italian meatballs to the size of your preference. My family prefers bigger meatballs but feel free to make smaller ones. Place meatballs on the baking sheet about one inch apart.
  5. Mix the brown sugar and ketchup in a small bowl. With a spoon, cover the tops of the meatballs with the mixture.
  6. bake meatballs in the oven for 25-30 minutes for large meatballs and 20-25 minutes for smaller ones.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Final Thoughts

I’m going to close this delicious Italian Meatballs recipe post by saying that I know these sound like mini meatloaf with the glaze. I understand that, but this is how my family really prefers their meatballs. If you don’t want the glaze then please leave it out. I’ve made them without the glaze a few times and I like them either way! I hope you really enjoy this recipe. As always, let me know in the comments below what you think of this recipe.
