It’s the Lenten season in our household and we are dedicated to not eating red meat on Fridays. This is a practice I didn’t follow growing up so it’s hard for me to remember. Last week I made this delicious and easy sheet pan lemon-garlic salmon with green beans recipe and the whole family loved it! I couldn’t believe how we all devoured this recipe.

I’m so excited to share this recipe with all of you because while I was making this I was thinking of a good backup plan for my kids to eat. Turns out this recipe is so delicious that even my youngest (he’s 21 months old) loved it.

Ingredients for Lemon-Garlic Salmon with Green Beans

  • 4 skinless salmon fillets
  • 2 Tablespoons of chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 Tablespoon of your favorite hot sauce
  • 4 Teaspoons of minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper (about 1/2 teaspoon of each)
  • 4 Tablespoons of butter, cubed into small pieces
  • 2 Tablespoons of parsley
  • 1 pound of trimmed green beans

How To Make Lemon-Garlic Salmon with Green Beans Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line the pan with tinfoil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, lemon juice, hot sauce, and minced garlic.
  3. Place salmon bottom down on the already sprayed tinfoil on the sheet pan. Salt and pepper the salmon to your preference.
  4. Brush mixture on salmon and top with the cubed butter.
  5. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes. While the salmon is cooking, blanch the green beans in boiling water for 4 minutes. Drain water from the pot when the green beans are done.
  6. Once the salmon is done, add the green beans to the sheet pan and toss the green beans in the buttery sauce. Bake the lemon-garlic salmon and green beans for 2-3 more minutes.
  7. Top salmon with freshly sliced lemons and the parsley. Serve and enjoy!

Final thoughts

I’m so glad I happened to find this delicious and easy sheet pan lemon-garlic salmon recipe. I’m also so glad it uses green beans instead of asparagus. I wasn’t sure my kids would like asparagus and if you know anything about childhood development, you know that you can only offer one new thing to a child’s plate at a time. Also, we added some delicious garlic risotto that complemented the salmon perfectly!

I hope you all enjoy this awesome recipe! If you have a moment, let me know in the comments what you think of this lemon-garlic salmon with green beans recipe. I love hearing from all of you. 1. I will have to give this recipe a try! I love salmon and usually make it with lemon juice on it but never hot sauce and I love hot sauce.
