I have read a lot of books in my life, and sometimes I read a book that I just can’t wait to share with people. The list below is full of incredible books that I will never stop raving about. These books made me cry, surprised me, or left me with scenes that will haunt me. I hope you find a book that calls to you, that you pick up, love it, and never stop raving about it like me.

Incredible Books: Mystery and Thriller Vibes

1. We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter- This book is about two girls who go missing and a detective, who knows the girls, who must figure out what happened. It’s full of twists and moments that made me gasp out loud. If you are looking for a great thriller to read, I suggest this one.

2. The Lost House by Melissa Larsen- The Lost House is about a young woman who travels to Iceland to solve a 40-year-old crime. Her grandmother and aunt were murdered. The only suspect was her grandfather. He fled with his son to California, and no one knew what really happened. It’s full of twists and the sense of not being able to trust anyone.

3. Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman- A murder occurs, and a group of retired people from very different backgrounds work together to figure out what happened. I just love the idea of elderly people solving a crime. Also, I didn’t see the ending coming and really fell in love with these characters. Lastly, there are a few of these books, so you can really fall into this series.

Incredible Books: Romance Vibes

4. Until Next Summer by Ali Brady- When the summer camp that Jessie has been working at all her life is going to close at the end of summer, she decides to invite past campers and have an adult summer camp. That includes Hillary, her ex-best friend, whom she hasn’t talked to in years. This book is full of summer fun and romance vibes. Honestly, this book is all about the vibes for me.

5. Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller- If you are a fan of Greek mythology, then you should definitely check out this book. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a fictional retelling of Achilles’ story. I read this book a while ago, and I still think about it. This book is well-written and fast-paced. You’ll be hanging on the edge of your seat while reading this book.

6. Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren- If a second-chance romance is your thing, then this book is for you! There’s nothing I love more than a really good friends-to-lovers and second-chance romance book. Yes, it’s a romance book with all the romance vibes, but I do guarantee you will cry your eyes out in the last few chapters of this book. Macy and Elliot were best friends until something bad happened. When they meet again, they must confront their past if they want to move forward.

7. The Book Witch by Meg Shaffer- This book is like a love letter to any book lover. It’s for the people who dreamed about going into the world of the book they are reading. Rainy March can dive into books and save characters who are being threatened. Plus, there’s a swoon-worthy love interest of a duke who is just the perfect man. I mean, he’s a detective from a book that Rainy loves, so, of course, he’s perfect.

Incredible Books: Books That Made Me Cry

8. Loving Frank by Nancy Horan- Loving Frank is a historical fiction about Mamah, who has a love affair with Frank Lloyd Wright. He designed her house for her and her husband, then they fell in love. This book was recommended to me by Luke’s Grandma, and I can’t forget how it ends. You will cry over the last few chapters.

9. Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid- I listened to this audiobook, and I’m pretty sure I had to pause it because I was crying so hard. This book tells the story of Joan, who wants to be an astronaut. We go through her training experiences and the family she makes while training. Then a space mission goes terribly wrong. This book rips you open and makes you realize just how lonely space can be.

10. The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn- If you’re looking for a book that will make you cry, any book by Kate Quinn will do the trick. I really enjoyed The Diamond Eye. It is based on a true story of the deadliest Russian sniper, a woman who killed around 300 people during WWII. This is a fast-paced book that will make you cry but also inspire you.
